Visualizing Neurons

It is becoming increasingly important to find new methods and techniques that allow cell biologists to visualize their data in three dimensions. This is particularly true of neuronal data, where visualizing cellular contacts and other features can be difficult due to the close proximity and crowdedness of the sample. This project, a work-in-progress, is a collaboration with Shigeki Watanabe and Erik Jorgensen at the University of Utah, explores how 3D animation tools can be used to better visualize biological data.
